Account Director - Put your account management and sales experience to use in a growing startup!

The Account Director is the most critical role in new business sales, account growth, account retention and account renewals. The Account Director must be able to focus on landing, building and growing accounts. This role is both strategic and hands on and requires a leader who can wow clients while driving their team forward.

In this role you will:

  • Have final responsibility for creation and execution of successful new client pitches and closing deals
  • Work closely with executive, marketing and business development team to win new business
  • Be responsible for account retention, growth and profitability and establish goals and strategy for each account
  • Manage your account team and allocate support resources as needed to serve the account
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of clients businesses, industry, brands, landscape and objectives to uncover business needs and objectives and craft appropriate strategies to achieve client goals
  • Establish and nurture client relationships, building trust, credibility and client referrals
  • Grow OneSpace revenue and profitability
  • Continuously monitor and review the processes and skills of the team ensuring the clients receive best in class service
  • Lead and coach team in strategic planning and development
  • Mentor, train and support account staff; provide constructive guidance and feedback as necessary; conduct performance evaluations and staff development planning

Requirements

To win in this role you need:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related; MBA a plus
  • At least five (and preferably ten) years of experience in sales, account management, leadership and business development with a solid understanding of business strategy and success working at the executive level
  • At least five years of experience successfully growing and managing teams
  • Previous success in cold-calling and consultative selling; proven ability to close deals
  • Extensive experience and a strong network in the CPG space
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and extraordinary customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management, engagement or account management with close involvement in delivery of work and growing service offering within an account
  • Advanced negotiation, communication, writing, presentation and organizational skills
  • The ability to voice your ideas while respecting those of others
  • A passion for technology and innovation
  • Curiosity - wants to know the why behind the what
  • To be a self-starter who works collaboratively in a team environment and enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • A sense of humor
  • The ability to focus when under pressure, treat clients and team mates with respect and focus on facts, not emotions
  • A solid balance between strategic thinking and tactical accomplishment
  • To be competitive and persistent

Position will be located in OneSpace office in Swansea, IL

Additional Details Essential Functions * Achievement of monthly Personal Production Goals and MC admit budgets for assigned locations. * Successfully executes a weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategy to increase market share through key account development including prospecting/diversification and call frequency/routing. Plans activity to maximize territory coverage of both existing and prospective accounts. * Responsible for executing effective sales calls that identify and meet the needs of the referral community and clearly communicate the features and benefits of the LHC Group. These include pre and post call planning, establishing rapport, effective questioning skills, proposing solutions, handling objections and closing. * Works closely with the Executive Director/Clinical Director to drive a vision of growth by focusing every team member on the needs and expectations of the referral community and patients. * Responsible for all sales administration duties including, but not limited to, Playmaker, CRM expense entry compliance, BOA with associated Policies and Procedures, payroll time sheets, Weekly 3LS meetings with strategic updates, PTO requests, paperwork (485/F2F) delivery or pick-up when needed, timely cell phone and e-mail correspondence. * Responsible for being a good steward of the company's financial resources by projecting a return on monies spent and managing to a Sales and Marketing expense budget. * Knows the features and benefits of the services provided by LHC Group. Is able to articulate competitive advantages, specialty programs, and Medicare guidelines. Educates the medical community about the services of our organization through effective sales calls and in-services with the appropriate tools and literature. * Any other tasks that are assigned. Qualifications * Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Requirements * Two to three years of prior successful Home Health or Hospice sales experience preferred.
