We are particularly interested in candidates with a working knowledge of, or a Degree in International Relations, Political Science, other related humanities, or social science. World Services partners with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, we work on the critical issues of our time, including national security, social justice and conflict prevention. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Our work is domestic and global, often affecting the most vulnerable in society, with international activity orientated towards developing countries, and fragile, conflict affected states.

This role will involve the following responsibilities:

• Managing projects, including timing plans, team coordination, and client liaison/engagement.

• Take the lead on critical workstreams to support the project's delivery and oversee other workstreams led by more junior members of the team.

• Manage project finance, including budget sheets and estimates.

• Work hand in glove with specialist members of the team, including Insights, Strategy, Design, Production, and Dissemination.

• Manage and mentor more junior members of the account handling and wider US team, taking an active interest in furthering their development.

• Take an interest in the world around us - geopolitics, social impact issues, culture, etc.

What we are looking for:

• Proven commercial communications expertise in a similar working environment and role, with the ability to work independently.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Spanish or Arabic language skills desirable.

• Good and practical understanding of commercial operations with a sense of responsibility towards the organization's reputation.

• Proficient in all components of Microsoft Office (Outlook, word-processing, power point and spreadsheets).

• Excellent communication skills to enable him/her to engage with senior stakeholders and to understand client requirements.

What we offer: M&CS offers a competitive benefits package including: 25 vacation days, 401k match, annual pay reviews, flexible working, and WFH opportunities. Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $120,000 - $150,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
