Role:

This Account Director will partner with the Carmichael Lynch media and analytics teams to seamlessly connect Subaru campaign and "always-on" initiatives with our media initiatives and measurement approach to ensure we are meeting our client's business objectives. This role will serve as a client leader as well as an internal and client-facing facilitator, bridging media and analytics from planning through in-market activation, with a focus on performance. This is a collaborative account leadership role that will help align media and analytics thought leadership with our overall organizational strategy on the business (automotive meets retail).

This role will help to ensure that client needs and expectations across media and analytics are integrated, streamlined and prioritized, and that agency and client stakeholders are aligned. This individual will also partner with media, analytics and executive leadership teams on strategy, budget planning, client management, and process logistics.

Areas of Focus:

  • Engage in media budget development and incremental planning scenarios.

  • Participate in annual media planning approach and client communications inclusive of Upfronts/Newfronts, media partner content, and budget planning.

  • Provide client consultation (alongside media and planning leads) on evolving media environments and consumer behaviors.

  • Collaborate on media messaging strategy, facilitate communication and help secure approvals, communicate updates internally.

  • Work with media and analytics to understand and implement audience strategies.

  • Partner closely with the agency team to identify opportunities to maximize first party data for upcoming campaigns.

  • Work with agency analytics and client IT to help build out measurement goals across models, and for key launches and initiatives, as well as owners/CRM program.

  • Identify and steward new opportunities that can be deployed through paid and owned properties e.g. identifying new opportunities, with partners such as CARS, Google, The Trade Desk.

  • Partner with Media and Analytics in developing an annual learning agenda that serves as the guardrails for future test and learn opportunities.

  • Support Daily/Weekly/Monthly Subaru dashboarding and reporting for the client.

  • Partner with other account leads on Measurement playbooks.

  • Contribute to always-on strategies (Endemics, Retargeting, Paid Search, etc., collaborating with Products Pillar account leads on creative development/deliverables)

  • Support ad hoc client requests for media budget scenarios and deliverables.

This role collaborates to support:

  • Field marketing (Tier 1 - Tier 3): Media strategy alignment for Subaru and the agency field marketing teams (Field planning is led by the GAD and Group Media Director).

  • Multicultural marketing initiatives: Provide support where these initiatives intersect media and measurement as defined by account and strategy leads, including:

  • Hispanic marketing and media program: Collaboration with other account directors on aligning client understanding of the audience opportunity and ensuring we deliver on in-language content needs.

Qualifications/Traits:

  • BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing or Advertising or related field.

  • 10+ years of Account Management experience in an integrated agency or media/analytics agency

  • Knowledge and familiarity with media and analytics/measurement is required.

  • Experience in automotive and/or retail environments preferred, but not required.

  • Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paces environment, and can make seamless integration across disciplines.

  • Confident and resourceful, can function with minimal supervision.

  • Highly skilled communicator and agile decision maker.

  • Must be willing to be based in Minneapolis, MN or Philadelphia, NJ.
