Are you a hardworking individual that enjoys outside sales and driving business? PPG may have what you are looking for! As an Account Development Manager, you will drive new sales through assigned PPG Paints stores, growing both existing business year-over-year, and developing new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service existing customer accounts and find opportunities for growth within sales territory.

  • Facilitate product recommendations (application, performance, and color).

  • Develop account planning strategies, sales opportunities, accounts with growth potential, and understand existing business and the segments they serve.

  • Utilize ClientLink CRM tool to manage accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc.

  • Build partnerships with PPG Paints store managers and other store employees to ensure customers' needs are met or exceeded.

  • Facilitate timely and accurate customer quotes to achieve margin targets in alignment with PPG pricing strategies.

  • Analyze territory performance and develop sales territory business plans.

  • Clearly articulates PPG's value proposition and engages the customer in jointly addressing business priorities.

  • Follows economic and industry activity and understands its implications on customer business, including potential new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of previous sales experience with stellar customer service acumen required.

  • High school diploma required. Higher-level education degree in a business-related field preferred.

  • Digital literacy: knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required, Power BI experience preferred, CRM software experience preferred.

  • Daily travel within assigned territory.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Previous coatings experience an asset but not required.

Job Description: At Regions, the Government Affairs & Economic Development Manager develops and coordinates the bank's policies and objectives related to state and local government affairs. This position is also responsible for community and economic development activities focusing on programs that encourage capital investment and job creation in the state of Alabama. Primary Responsibilities * Sets state legislative priorities and manages state contract lobbyists as part of a comprehensive legislative advocacy strategy * Researches and provides analysis and critical review of state and local government activities and legislation to determine its potential impact on the bank's business and customers and work with internal business partners to develop strategies to achieve the best outcome for the bank * Advocates for state legislation that facilitates product development and helps the bank better serve its customers * Assists senior management with strategic planning for known and potential legislative initiatives related to financial services * Participates in process of identifying emerging risks and issues within the government affairs space and communicates the impact of legislative and regulatory developments to internal stakeholders at the company * Maintains relationships with and serves as the primary point of contact for state banking associations in collaboration with geography leadership * Builds and maintains professional relationships with members of state and local government entities and agencies * Coordinates outreach among state legislators in cooperation with geographic leadership * Performs state legislative lobbying functions, promotes the bank among state and local political figures, and serves as a resource for legislative staff and state agencies while complying with all applicable state political ethics requirements * Plans and executes a strategy for corporate political contributions to state and local elected officials, as permitted by state law, in collaboration with the Head of Government Affairs & Economic Development and others as needed * Contributes to the execution of programming surrounding Regions' Political Action Committee (PAC), including participating in presentations during the annual enrollment campaign, drafting state legislative content for periodic PAC newsletters, and providing legislative updates to PAC members * Coordinates the company's economic development efforts in Alabama, including collaborating with regional and state economic development organizations and agencies * Participates in initiatives and programs designed to recruit businesses to locate or enlarge operations within the state of Alabama * Relies on extensive experience and a wide degree of creativity and latitude in the planning and accomplishment of goals This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible. This is a single incumbent position.
