Job Summary

The employee is expected to work under the direct supervision of the Superintendent and Chief Business Official to perform a variety of accounting and financial record keeping activities for the District. The employee must be accurate and proficient in the use of office equipment and proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs (preferably Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Apps). The employee is expected to assist with the budget adoption and closing process, to process and prepare claims, to process invoices and deposits, process attendance records and submit accurate and auditable reports, among other duties and responsibilities. Effective communication skills, oral and written, are necessary.

High school graduate or equivalent. May have completed formal or informal training sufficient to clearly demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to perform the job. Accounting experience or experience in a related field is preferred.
