Cancer Genetics, Inc. (CGI)s business is focused on personalized medicine, offering products and services that enable cancer diagnostics as well as treatments that are tailored to the specific genetic profile of the individual.
Products being developed have the goals of transforming cancer patient management, increasing treatment efficacy, and reducing healthcare costs. CGIs cutting-edge proprietary tests and state of the art reference lab provide genomic information where patients and their physicians need it most to diagnose, monitor and improve cancer treatment.
CGIs state of the art reference lab is focused entirely on maintaining clinical excellence and is both CLIA certified and CAP accredited. In addition, we have approvals and accreditations from the states of Florida, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. Our extensive test menu is entirely focused on oncology and provides insights and clarity to inform and guide personalized cancer treatment through the use of our core labs in: Flow Cytometry, Molecular Diagnostics, Microarrays, Immunohistochemistry, Anatomical Pathology and Cytogenetics.
Receive all incoming packages and distribute them as necessary
Receive all incoming samples and ensure all necessary information has been received to move forward with processing. . This includes checking in of samples and confirming sample corresponds with patient.
Troubleshoot requests and samples that have been received with incomplete information
Access ion/Data Entry of all clinical samples , this includes ensuring all tests ordered are entered
into the database, work log , and required spreadsheets
Return all clinical samples to the appropriate client
Archive assigned documents and glass slides upon completion of testing
Abide by the rules and regulations of the company regarding safety, patient confidentiality, data integrity and confidentiality, and will also follow all applicable regulatory guidelines in the course of his/her work.

High School Diploma or GED
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
At least one year experience with data entry in a Life Science work environment
Excellent computer skills , able to navigate easily through Microsoft Office
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proven attention to detail with effective organizational skills
