Job Title Access ETSU Academic Coordinator Department Educational Foundations and Special Education - 23600 Pay Grade 8 Job Category Administrative Job Summary
The Department of Educational Foundations is accepting applications for an Academic Coordinator for the Access ETSU program. The Academic Coordinator, as part of the project team, coordinates academic advising and services for up to 20 Access ETSU students. This includes using a person-centered approach to providing high-impact student advising, developing individualized coursework adaptations, coordinating with other ETSU departments/programs regarding academics, accommodations, and instruction, and guiding other staff members to make and implement coursework adaptations. The Academic Coordinator will supervise peer mentors and be the lead staff member responsible for developing and implementing academic support systems in collaboration with other staff and the principal investigator. This position includes elements of systems change as well as individualized support and advocacy to develop a program that can be sustained beyond federal funding. Some travel may be required.
All positions at East Tennessee State University are contingent upon sufficient funding.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Rehabilitation Counseling, Education, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of making high-quality academic adaptations in inclusive settings (relevant part-time, student worker, graduate assistant, and volunteer experience may be considered).
One (1) year of experience working with young adults with intellectual disabilities (relevant part-time, student worker, graduate assistant, and volunteer experience may be considered).
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree (or higher) in Rehabilitation Counseling, Education, Special Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
Experience with:
