DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION The Access Center Triage LPN works to assess patient needs and answer questions over the telephone and via e-communication methods. Through telephone assessment, the LPN recommends the patient to the appropriate level of care: primary care physician, urgent care, emergency care. Patient#s range from newborn to geriatric. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: Three years experience in Med/Surg or Ambulatory Nursing preferred. Three years Triage (phone or in person) experience preferred. Education and Training: High School Degree. License, Certification

Currently licensed as an LPN in Massachusetts. CPR Other Requirements:Electronic medical records experience and strong comfort level using computers. Experience using multiple phone line system.

VIEW JOBS DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION The Medical Assistant II/Clinical Support Representative is a part of the Berkshire Faculty Services multispecialty physician practice team. The incumbent is responsible for the successful completion of day-to-day tasks of the front office to ensure quality care and excellent customer service to our patients. The Medical Assistant II/Clinical Support Representative works collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure timely and smooth office flow, always keeping the needs of the patient first. Duties will include, but are not limited to, patient registration, scheduling, reception, collection of payments, appropriate triage of telephone calls and the ability to access and calmly diffuse potentially problematic situations. In addition to these duties, he/she will be responsible for assisting the practitioners in the performance of procedures and other patient care required by the clients. Will function clinically under the direction of the practitioners and will perform other duties as requested by the Practice Site Supervisor. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: One to two years of administrative experience in a busy office, preferably a physician practice, is required. Experience in handling multiple telephone lines required. Insurance knowledge and billing experience strongly preferred. One to two years experience in a busy physician office as a Medical Assistant preferred. EKG experience required.
