Key Responsibilities

As a Workday Functional Manager, you should expect to be involved in the following:

  • Oversee all functional work streams on global Workday implementation projects

  • Serve as the escalation point for critical functional issue resolution

  • Manage on and off-shore functional teams

  • Provide subject matter expertise to aid in decision making related to the functional solution

  • Lead, mentor, counsel and manage performance metrics of project staff

  • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements.

  • Architect Workday HCM solution to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated

  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices.

  • Demonstrate design options through the use of prototyping.

  • Understand and apply Workday and Accenture DayNine methodologies.

  • Provide the Project Manager with status updates and keep them apprised of overall project status.

  • Demonstrate strong client and stakeholder management to achieve project objectives

  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices.

  • Support innovation through the creation of new industry leading methods and assets

Responsibilities: * Participate in Workday HCM projects involving strategy, implementation support, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) optimization related to Information Technology (IT) operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the Workday applications in Workday projects involving strategy, implementation support, and Workday optimization related to information technology operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the applications * Review and map Workday business processes * Execute the day-to-day activities of Workday advisory engagements for a variety of clients including process design, package implementation lifecycle support, and project reviews * Review business processes and advise clients on system services available within the Workday application * Identify and communicate findings to senior management and client personnel Qualifications: * A minimum of three years of experience as a Functional Lead consultant with Workday Compensation / Advanced Compensation implementation experience * Minimum of Two full life cycle implementations with Workday Compensation / Advanced Compensation as a Functional Lead and Workday certification in Compensation / Advanced Compensation (Please note that any candidate hired by KPMG into this position that doesn't currently hold the aforementioned certification will be required to secure one within three months from the commencement of employment) * Experience leading functional design, configuration and Process alignment Detailed understanding of ERP System concepts and general module functionality * Detailed understanding of Workday Compensation / Advanced Compensation processes and best practices * Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university * Ability to travel up to seventy percent * Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future KPMG LLP (the U.S. member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
