Program Overview:

We're looking for the new dreamers and doers to join our Accelerate to Leadership (A2L) Program! This early leader development program targets recent college graduates regardless of major and is designed to provide the tools & resources you'll need to successfully learn the business and set yourself on an accelerated path to a leadership role in the organization! The A2L Program offers seven Career Tracks that provide key milestone experiences specific to each career track. These milestones are standardized nationally across all lines of business.

The A2L Program also provides a combination of trainings, structured account experiences, and on-the-job learning. You'll spend approximately 15% of your time committed to training and structured program activities, with the rest of your time focused on:

  • On the job training in a leadership or individual contributor position (dependent upon career track)

  • Key milestone experiences specific to the career track that are standardized across all lines of business

  • Structured career path towards a targeted leadership role post program

  • Career readiness training & coaching

  • Direct engagement with peers, mentors & managers

  • Professional network & personal brand development


Direct Service and Delivery Career Track:

The positions within this career track mainly fall within the Uniform Services lines of business. An A2L in this track will be the communication liaison between Operations, Production, Service, and Sales to drive results and ensure proper policies and procedures are being followed to maintain compliance. Typical responsibilities include performing daily route check-ins, providing feedback to management team on overall performance, execution, and customer service skills of operations front line associates, periodically filling in on routes to cover for sick days, vacation, etc, and performing other duties as required or assigned by management. The A2L in this career track must also prioritize safety, cost control, and growth. A valid driver's license is required for these positions.



  • Bachelor's Degree required. (Must graduate between December 2017 August 2019 to be eligible for the FY19 A2L Program). Start dates are in February and July 2019. All degree requirements must be completed prior to the start date of the program (including any final internship requirements).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.

  • Leadership skills, inclusive of supervisory responsibilities, team lead in a club/organization, and/or project management.

  • The ability to communicate in an appropriate, clear, and concise manner with customers, clients, employees and leadership.

  • The ability to manage through change and ambiguity in a fast pace environment.

  • Cost control, budget responsibilities or inventory management experience desired.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends or holidays according to business need.

  • Ability / openness to relocation according to program / business need.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.

  • Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future.

Working closely with Privacy Legal and regional and business unit personnel, this position provides privacy expertise, management, and direct support for operational execution and compliance with US based legal, regulatory and business data protection and privacy requirements. Significant influence management will be required. In alignment with the Global Data Protection and Privacy Program policies, standards and requirements, this position focuses on business operations activities, practices and standards to meet privacy legal and regulatory requirements for the America's Region such as US federal laws HIPAA, PIPEDA, TCPA, US Patriot Act, US state-based laws, OUS America's Region country and regional laws for Canada, LATAM, Breach Notification laws, ISO and other standards bodies and international standards. The Data Protection and Privacy team operates as a high functioning Hub and Spoke model and team within a relatively flat team structure. Members of this team are innovative, highly flexible; enthusiastic collaborators; results orientated; independent; actively engaged; and able to influence without direct authority. A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Working closely with the Senior Director and team of privacy professionals, the Senior Program Manager closely collaborates with the Program team and business resources to advise, develop, execute, and manage data protection and privacy business operational structures, processes and standards for effective data protection and privacy practices across Medtronic. Key responsibilities include: * Lead by example to model a culture of ethics and integrity; exercise sound judgment and courage as a trusted advisor to the business and to the team; * In close cooperation with Privacy Legal, act as America's Region lead data protection and privacy program and requirements subject matter expert and key resource and point of contact to regional, business, partner functions, and other key stakeholders; * Support the business units and regions to implement new legal and regulatory requirements relating to data protection and privacy impacting Medtronic businesses. Provide communication and guidance to regional and business leads personnel for implementation of identified requirements. Collaborate with regional and business leads to test implementation effectiveness for high risk implementation activities as appropriate; * In close collaboration with the Risk Process team, Technology manager and others, ensure appropriate development and iteration of all inventory, mapping and assessment tools and processes for America's Region assessments. As necessary, conduct privacy impact assessment (PIA) activities and/or business consulting for new product development, material changes to existing products, third party vendor privacy assessments and business consultation requests as required by the PIA standards and procedures; * Conduct and support periodic region or business level privacy assessment that results in program enhancement, mitigation and remediation activities as appropriate; * Strongly collaborate and provide work direction as needed to others within the DPP organization as well as with others in Bus, functions and regions who may be completing other consults/assessments * Develop, coordinate and/or conduct ongoing data protection and privacy operational compliance monitoring activities in collaboration and coordination with the organization's security, compliance, audit, risk management and other related corporate functions as appropriate; * Collaborate with legal, the IT privacy incident management team, and the DPP team to develop and implement regional or business unit corrective action for identified privacy incidents or breaches; provide routine remediation status reporting for management and governance oversight; * Collaborate with regional and business data protection and privacy leads to develop business level data protection and privacy policies, standards and procedures, as required. Ensure routine review and approvals thorough the Data Protection and Privacy Office as required; * Collaborate with regional and business personnel to provide subject matter expertise for development and implementation of role based data protection and privacy training as required. Coordinate module review with the Data Protection and Privacy Office as necessary to confirm alignment of content and approach with the broader data protection and privacy training and awareness program; * Collaborate with team leadership and the legal team to ensure that the business has access to model data protection and privacy documents such as confidentiality notices, consents, authorization forms, contract language, business associate agreements and other related required documents; coordinate with DPP Program team for model document review, approval, maintenance and exception procedures for these types of privacy documents; * Collaborate with legal and the business privacy leads to define standards and processes for business response to individual rights requests such as data access requests, accounting of disclosures, the right to inspect and copy, restrictions on disclosures, opt-in or opt-out requirements and other related individual rights; * Support business unit privacy "Covered Entity", "Business Associate" or similar privacy related contracting requirements; * Coordinate data protection and privacy efforts for the due diligence and integration of acquisitions within the businesses; * Provide support including budget planning and monitoring, resource management, talent management, coaching/mentoring, and function metrics and reporting; * Support the Senior Manager, Global Data Protection and Privacy Program in development and management of core global privacy program elements as requested. Examples include: * Support effective management and governance reporting standards and processes; * Collaborate with Program hub and spoke staff and key stakeholders to develop and implement global data protection and privacy policies and procedures that meet legal, regulatory and business requirements; * Collaborate with stakeholder partners to develop and implement a global data protection and privacy training and awareness program that address standard requirements for employees, contractors and vendors as appropriate; ensure standards and processes to monitor individual completion of mandatory training and escalate as necessary * Support development and execution of a risk based annual plan and routine reporting that is approved by Program governance to address, at a minimum, key accountabilities, department or organizational commitments, and program based enhancement and/or mitigation projects anticipated by the Program team; resources and budget implications will be identified in development of the plan; * Support periodic internal Program assessment that results in program enhancement, mitigation and remediation activities as appropriate; * Support overall program administration through development, implementation and management of technology that supports team efficiency and effectiveness. Examples include SharePoint, GRC, Learning Management systems, etc. * Other responsibilities as assigned.
