We live by our mission to employ the core values of excellence, innovation, inclusion, and respect to educate future nurses, advance nursing science, and implement evidence-based clinical practice to improve health and wellness.POSITION SUMMARY:The Academic Services Administrator (ASA) will serve as an academic student advisor to enforce academic policies and advise faculty, staff, and students on policy matters relevant to the DNP Program and post-BSN and Nursing Ed. certificate programs including, but not limited to, those relevant to academic instruction and recruitment, program planning coordination and implementation, operations, and evaluation.RESPONSIBILITIES:The Graduate Academic Services Administrator serves as an academic student advisor to enforce academic policies and advise faculty, staff, and students on policy matters relevant to the DNP Program and post-BSN and Nursing Ed. certificate programs. Advise students on non-routine and complex issues/problems in the program. Audit student records to ensure students have met requirements for the degree. Advise students during registration periods. Conduct administrative and analytic duties supporting the academic mission of the program and larger college.Collect, gather, aggregate and/or analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce reports for internal and external use including accreditation reviews and monitoring student progression. Develop/write reports and prepare/deliver presentations and other documents as required/relevant for DNP Program operations and administration. Coordinate and/or manage processes as required/relevant to development, submission, and approval of new course offerings, new programs, and /or program/curricular/course revisions. Prepare and/or review and edit a wide variety of written/electronic materials (e.g., forms, templates, student handbooks, etc.) relevant to academic instruction, DNP Program course/curriculum management, and end-of-program immersion experience requirements. Develop, organize, and maintain paper and electronic information, documents, and records in a manner that provides for rapid and efficient location and retrieval including development and maintenance of DNP BOX content. Coordinate, plan, and schedule meetings and/or events as required to meet Program objectives including, but not limited to, annual program reviews preparation, student academic advising, student information/pre-project orientation sessions, prospective, and special workgroup/taskforce meetings.Assist students with completing Graduate Studies forms and submitting the forms to the Office of Graduate Studies. Maintain a system of accessible documents in BOX for self and administrators. Create and revise systems and processes as required for continuous program performance improvement and ensure compliance from all parties. Maintain a calendar of operational requirements and monitor successful adherence to deadlines. Participate in the development of course schedules. Assist with DNP Project faculty assignments and permitting courses. Supervise administrative staff supporting the academic program to fulfill program support requirements . Process degree certifications at the department level.Perform other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:MINIMUM:This position requires a Master's degree in education or a field of study related to the academic program, or a Bachelor's degree in those same fields with a minimum of two years of experience.SB1310 Equivalency:4 years of directly related experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.6 years of directly related experience may substitute for a master's degree.PREFERRED:Master's degree and two years experience in an administrative professional position supporting academic programs.
