POSITION OVERVIEW The Academic Support Teacher will provide targeted academic support to students identified by the classroom teacher and deans. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Current California Teaching Credential (multiple subject, or single subject English, or single subject Math) • Special Education Credential preferred • Knowledge and understanding of K-5th grade level ELA and Math standards and/or 6th - 8th grade level ELA and Math standards • Ability to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish • At least 3 years experience working as a credentialed teacher and/or interventionist • Results-oriented, using data to make decisions • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Ability to collaborate and work as part of multiple teams • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Must be able to successfully clear DOJ (fingerprints), TB Test and Drug Screen COMPENSATION PACKAGE • Competitive salary • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision health benefits package effective start date • 10 days Paid Time Off (PTO) • Participation in STRS • Employee Assistance Program • Life and AD&D Insuranc
