St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the Academic Support Programs Graduate Coordinator position. The Graduate Coordinator develops, maintains, and coordinates support services, such as Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring Services This part-time, administrative position is responsible for coordinating supplemental instruction: hires, trains, manages, and evaluates student supplemental instruction leaders.
For consideration, a Bachelor's degree and participating in a graduate program. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Skilled in tracking and reporting data. Ability to make decisions using professional discretion and independent judgment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make efficient use of time.
Possess a high degree of organization and attention to detail. Behave professionally and work to create a positive working environment. Work independently but also appreciate being a valued team member.
Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships and collaborate across campus. Demonstrate appreciation of diversity and multi-cultural differences. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends as required. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Create Supplemental Instruction schedule and monitor administrative tasks, such as: attendance logs, time logs, and timesheets
Oversee recruitment and training of student staff, including individual meetings, group training/meetings
Evaluation of student leaders - periodically attend Supplemental Instruction sessions and provide feedback to student leaders
Work with faculty to identify Supplemental Instruction leaders
Monitor requests for Tutoring Services
Promote services to faculty, staff, and students through campus-wide involvement
Prepare statistical and assessment reports for program assessment and evaluation
Participate in the Student Worker Professional Development committee for the Student Success Center to plan, execute, and assess student worker training
