The UAS Registrar's office is seeking an Academic Scheduling and Curriculum Coordinator. The Academic Scheduling and Curriculum Coordinator oversees the development and creation of each semester's schedule of classes, performs complex schedule review, and provides assistance and support to other department coordinators on all aspects of course scheduling and data analysis.
This position is also responsible for implementing and overseeing academic scheduling functions, completing annual curriculum updates, and serving as lead administrator of the university's event and academic scheduling systems. The Academic Scheduling and Curriculum Coordinator performs final schedule review for accuracy and efficiency before publication and registration, and manages each academic year's curriculum review process for Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka in conjunction with the Registrar and Curriculum Committee
The Registrar's Office serves as a first stop for many UAS students and community members, providing a wide range of services from registration to graduation. As a Registrar's Office employee, primary responsibilities include: maintaining accurate records, facilitating some registration processes, providing information and assistance regarding course schedules, and ensuring compliance with academic and event policies and regulations.
While working in the Registrar's Office you will serve as a foundational piece in supporting the academic journey of UAS students, and in maintaining the integrity of institutional records. It's a position that requires a combination of administrative prowess, customer service savvy, and an in-depth understanding of academic policies and procedures.
For long-term success, the selected candidate should be a strong communicator who can understand and disseminate information regarding complex policies; organized and able to prioritize tasks and projects; and able to work independently while meeting cyclical and evolving scheduling deadlines. A successful candidate must also be a flexible and proactive problem solver, able to collaborate with internal departments and external partners regarding class and event placement when scheduling issues arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Southeast campus in Juneau and on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.

New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
