Academic Progress Analysts process residential and online registration requests and other various tasks in accordance with university policy. They also process official withdrawal requests and evaluate total unofficial withdrawals. The position has direct interaction with students, staff, faculty, and various internal university departments via the Student Service Center and e-mail communication.

Academic Progress Analysts maintain and communicate course-registration, attendance, grades, and withdrawal policies. They provide written and verbal information to other departments to ensure these policies and corresponding procedures are understood and followed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Strong computer skills, including an operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.

Well-developed verbal and written communications skills. Must be fully proficient in all academic processes and regulations as they apply to students.

No Contact Contact Phone Ext Contact Email ac@liberty.edu Job Summary/Basic Function * Meet with students one-on-one to mentor them toward achieving their academic goals, teaching needed academic skills and following up for successful implementation. * Maintain accurate records of academic coaching sessions and submit all required documentation. * Attend mandatory Peer Mentor Orientation, training sessions, and scheduled meetings as required by the Program Coordinator. * Complete Blackboard training courses, assignments, and quizzes. * Assist with additional duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications * Current residential student – rising junior or senior by credit * Eligible for Federal Work Study * Overall GPA of 3.0 or above * 2 letters of recommendation o 1 from Liberty University faculty/staff member – focusing on applicant's academic skills o 1 from pastor/mentor – focusing on applicant's character and mentoring ability * Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural, and social backgrounds * Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality * Appropriate and professional behavior Preferred Qualifications * Enthusiasm for equipping Liberty University students to succeed academically * Previous tutoring / mentoring experience * Overall GPA of 3.5 or above Work Hours * Up to 15 hours/week * Afternoon and evening hours Liberty University Lynchburg VA
