About This Role:

The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for an Academic Program Specialist. The position coordinates and manages daily operations and provides assistance to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and the Recruitment Coordinator for the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position is an initial contact person for inquiries from the public, unit administrators, faculty, staff, applicants and visitors to the college. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the traditional applicants, early admission applicants and transfer applicants. The individual must exercise good judgment in prioritizing and multi-tasking in a busy environment.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Two years in administrative support position providing directions necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Two to four years of professional experience is preferred.

  • Word processing database management, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in a university setting is preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
