Job Responsibilities

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of teaching area subject matter and teaches courses during day, evening, Saturday, on campus and off campus. Evaluates students' progress and maintains accurate administrative records pertaining to classes.

Prepares daily lectures and supplemental course materials to enhance instruction. Prepares and evaluates tests, exams, projects, research assignments, and other course assignments. Utilizes outcome data and student evaluations to improve courses.

Develops new ideas and methods for instruction and prepares supplemental course materials to enhance instruction. Evaluates projects, research assignments and other course assignments to determine effectiveness. Examines new textbooks, including computer and instructional software, to improve instruction.

Counsels students with academic, career, and personal needs and advises students for registration. Examines program/course content to achieve program and College goals. Performs college administrative duties, attends College meetings, and assists with recruiting efforts.

Performs other duties which advance the mission of the College. Formulates and develops a professional development plan consistent with the College and program's goals.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Master's degree in the teaching discipline; or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
