POSITION SUMMARY
The University of Providence's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (SLAS) seeks a part-time (30 hours with benefits) Academic Program Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a key role in fostering a thriving learning environment for faculty and students by providing comprehensive academic support. You'll be a vital link within SLAS, and your data expertise will also be crucial for the Education department, ensuring their programs run smoothly. This is your chance to be the hero behind the scenes! You'll be the one making sure everything runs like clockwork for our academic community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides comprehensive administrative, secretarial, and clerical assistance to the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (SLAS).
Maintains academic files (course syllabi, assessment materials, minutes, program records, etc.).
Coordinates and executes academic meetings and events (reserves rooms, prepares materials, orders supplies, takes minutes).
Processes forms (purchase orders, checks, travel authorizations, reimbursements, petty cash).
Assists faculty and administration with ordering supplies, bookstore tasks, document conversion, photocopying, and other tasks as directed.
Greets visitors, provides directions, and answers inquiries.
Maintains office supplies and copiers in academic buildings.
Updates faculty building directories and classroom signs each semester.
Prepares and distributes academic awards (Dean's List, President's Honor Roll) each semester.
Manages and reports data for the Education program's licensure and accreditation needs.
Proctors Accuplacer Placement testing.
Performs other duties assigned by the SLAS Dean and Senior Administrative Coordinator.
