Description
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applicants for one full-time, Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning January 2, 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Lecturer depending on qualifications.
This position is defined as a teaching position but can include service work by participating on committees as deemed appropriate by the department head. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and an office within the Biochemistry and Biophysics Building at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
Responsibilities for this position include teaching at the undergraduate level, including laboratory classes, and service to the department, university, and the field of biochemistry.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related degree is required. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with online teaching is desirable. Other experience should include demonstrated excellence in teaching, ability to function in an interdisciplinary program involving faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, computer and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
