Academic Mentor (Temporary Grant) (Temporary)

Job Responsibilities

TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) academic mentors works with students in 6th -12th grade. The academic mentors are students who have knowledge of tutored subjects.

Must have the ability to work with diverse students, parents and professional staff. ETS Academic Mentors work with assigned ETS participants either virtually or in-person to help them strengthen an understand specific course content. Academic Mentors report to an assigned Educational Talent Search staff member.

Midlands Technical College is dedicated to providing excellent service to its students, employees, and the community.

This position is located on the Airport Campus in the Educational Talent Search department.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Knowledge of subjects tutored; (STEM, History, Foreign Language, Graphic Design). Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a 2- or 4- year college/university. Effective communication and strong listening skills.
