The position involves overseeing various aspects of academic integrity, faculty support, and student success within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Main responsibilities include managing academic integrity violations, faculty/student issues, and working closely with deans, department chairs, and other faculty to address queries. This role coordinates academic integrity matters, including research and responses to student issues.

The role extends to enhancing program and course quality, which involves collaborating with deans and department chairs to review course quality data, enabling continuous improvement through follow-up actions, supporting the maintenance of course syllabi in alignment with university standards, and supporting accreditation processes are some of the additional duties.

The position also involves fostering student engagement through coordination of student groups and associations, while actively participating in school and college committees to contribute to the development and execution of strategic planning and institutional initiatives. Overall, the role serves as a bridge between student success, faculty support, and program quality enhancement.

This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of two required days at Excelsior's home office of 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY, with the remainder of the days worked from home.

Duties and Responsibilities: Academic Integrity, Student Support, and Success

  • Coordinate student facing concerns and appeals including process oversight, course research and assist Department Chairs and faculty with responses to students.

  • Coordinate all Academic Integrity issues and appeals including process oversight, research and responses to students.

  • Assist Department Chairs, faculty, and Associate Deans with application of College Policy.

Program and Course Quality

  • Support the deans and department chairs in reviewing course quality dashboard data on a termly basis and coordinating follow-up and continuous quality improvement actions.

  • Support assistant dean with data-driven monitoring of course registrations with the goal of optimizing availability and efficiency of course offerings.

  • Support department chairs to maintain course syllabi in accordance with university standards and templates.

  • Support the efforts of the college and school specialized accreditation process.

Faculty Support Administration

  • Support the faculty evaluation process and utilize data to help the school exceed external benchmarks of quality.

  • Support deans and department chairs to ensure faculty credentials are updated and aligned with university standards.

  • Respond to and troubleshoot faculty issues and concerns.

Support partnership programs

  • Coordinate student groups and associations to promote student connections and engagement with the school.

  • Participate as active member of school and college wide committees as assignment to support the development and implementation of college initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.

  • 1 year of related experience in an academic setting.

  • Experience in adult and continuing education or distance education is highly desirable.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, project management skills preferred.

  • Comfortable working with technologies to collect and analyze data in support of college initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with deans, faculty, and staff throughout the university.

  • Demonstrated integrity, commitment to high standards, ability to achieve results.

  • A commitment to working successfully with diverse populations.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in adult and continuing education or distance education highly desirable.

  • Comfort working with technologies to collect and analyze data in support of college initiatives.

The hiring salary range for this position is $54,000.00 - $62,000.00. The hiring salary range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
