As the Academic Immunology Sales Specialist, you will:

  • Achievesales quota by delivering market share and market share growth, as well asother key metrics within the assigned geography by using discretion andjudgment to execute the franchise and company brand strategy and tactics withinthe assigned customer segment, which may include physicians within specialtymedical practices and their staff, specialists within local hospitals, clinics,and pharmacists within the specified geographic area.

  • Influencedecision makers and influencers within their assigned customer base to supportthe use of the company's products in the treatment of multiple relevant diseasestates by developing and applying clinical and business expertise, andeffective selling skills. This individual will influence decision makers bydeveloping and delivering a targeted sales message based on accurate clinicalinformation, using approved medical reprints to support the case, anddiscussing therapeutic strategies.

  • Executemarketing strategies at the local level, leveraging resources appropriately andworking successfully with company team members and counterparts to share ideasand information to enhance business result and customer loyalty by identifyingand cultivating relationships with key decision makers at the local level whocan influence decision making within the healthcare provider systems.

  • Gain accessto promoted products and, subsequently, selling these products in targeted

Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and Dermatology teaching institutions and/orhospitals and clinics by establishing mutually beneficial, long-term businessrelationships with influential residents, fellows, attending physicians,pharmacists, and healthcare providers within the targeted institutions andcoordinating Academic sales strategies with appropriate teammates to maximizesales within the assigned institutions.

  • Productaccess, acceptance and usage; creating implementing and evaluating strategiesto develop Fellows, Residents, and Key Opinion Leaders within their assignedinstitutions; developing, implementing and evaluating effective business plansfor each assigned institution; maintaining administrative functions such ascall reporting, safe driving, expense accounting, and written andoral communications and representing the company at scientific conventions andwhile conducting educational programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimumof a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of successfulpharmaceutical, biologic / biotech or medical device sales experience with aminimum of one (1) year of specialty sales experience

  • A validdriver's license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States

  • Willing to travel up which may include weekend and/or overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of reimbursement, payer, provider and infusionoperations

  • Working knowledge of immunology, dermatology, rheumatology, and/orgastroenterology.

  • Priorexperience managing through complex reimbursement issues

  • Candidateswith prior Management Development courses, experience in project-oriented selling situations in a high incentive andindividual performance culture, along with a documented successful salesperformance (high growth, results vs. plan)

As the Primary Care Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, your responsibilities you will include: * Compliantly achieving sales quota, market share, market share growth, and other business objectives specific by applying a range of consultative selling skills and in‐depth clinical and product knowledge to drive business results * Building support for the Janssen portfolio of products. * Developing and implementing an efficient territory business plan, and executing a compliant, tailored strategy by applying business analytics, marketplace, disease state, competitor and clinical expertise * Demonstrating strong knowledge of therapeutic conditions and treatment protocols, healthcare and patient practices and emerging trends while * Delivering information and access to J&J's significant resources * Identifying and collaborating with internal and external partners who may impact healthcare decision-making at the local level, including healthcare providers, physician networks, local hospitals, pharmacies, and large local employer groups * Collaborating internally and externally to improve results; including across Janssen teams and business partners to improve efforts and enhance business outcomes. * Implementing Brand Marketing strategies and tactics and execute Managed Care pull‐through and push‐through strategies * Organizing and completing all administrative responsibilities with high levels of efficiency, including Healthcare Compliance, expense reports, call reporting, and other assignments by established deadlines. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required * A valid driver's license, with the ability to travel as needed (including overnights and/or weekends) is required * At least two (2) years of experience in direct selling, with documented sales results in business-to-business or to licensed medical professionals of pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical products or recent military experience as a Junior Military Officer * Ability to lift up to fifty (50) lbs.
