Who We Are 

Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is a Charter Management Organization (CMO) supporting schools in the Bronx, NY and Stamford, CT. Our programs are based on a proven, nationally recognized model, which originated in our flagship school, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, a National Blue-Ribbon School.

Candidate Profile 

• Very curious and enjoys solving-problems 

• Nimble with reporting software 

• Detail oriented and pays attention to the little things 

• Good at math, and likes math 

• Extracts insights from data that others miss 

• Connects high and low-level data 

• Spots trends 

• Communicates to be understood by others 

• Has worked with students in some educational capacity 

• Experience with item analysis for assessments 

• Experience labeling/identifying question types 

Priority Responsibilities 

• Collect, compile, analyze, and manage data from our Student Information System. 

• Support data compilation and analysis for building, school and network 

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. 

• Perform statistical analyses to inform and support leader decision-making. 

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. 

• Maintain network records 

• Prepare customized reports for local school needs. 

• Develop and execute professional development to ensure teachers are able to utilize database and software applications. 

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with concentration in IT, Information Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or another relevant field  
• 1-2 years professional experience  

• Basic coding and statistical knowledge  

• Candidates without the requirements above will be considered if they have: 

• Minimum 5 years of successful experience in an educational setting 

• Demonstrable expertise in reporting software and data analysis 

Note: This is a 12-month position.

Compensation:

• Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range ($50,000-$70,000)
