Job Summary
The successful Academic Counselor will play an integral role in student collegiate success. We are focused on ensuring that 75% of Alpha students graduate from a 4-year college within 6 years of graduating from Alpha, and to do that, our Academic Counselor will work with students grades 9-12 to ensure that they are progressing on track to reach high school graduation.
They will additionally help students apply to a wide range of colleges, complete financial aid, and choose the college where the student is most likely to be successful. We seek team members who understand the importance of gaining the trust and confidence of students with widely ranging academic skills and habits and their families. The ideal candidate understands the power of one-on-one conversations to help others learn and grow. The Academic Counselor plays an integral role in teaching students to overcome academic, financial, and other obstacles to high school completion.
