Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Accreditation and Compliance, the Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Columbus State University's state authorization and professional licensure compliance efforts. The position is also responsible for providing support to the Institutional Review Board.
Responsibilities
Significant Duties and Responsibilities include: State Authorization & Professional Licensure (80%) Ensure state authorization and professional licensure (SA/PL) compliance with regard to Title IV and other related federal, state, and international statutes and regulations.; Maintain complete and accurate SA/PL files, including the State Authorization Management System database, student disclosures, and correspondence with agency representatives.; Manage comprehensive schedule of SA/PL compliance activities including deadlines, applications, and reports; maintain institutional membership in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).; Research, interpret, and analyze state authorization and professional licensure laws and agency regulations; foster productive relationships with agency representatives.; Develop collaborative relationships across all levels of the institution to ensure consistency, transparency and accuracy in SA/PL compliance management efforts; provide support, oversight, training, and information on compliance obligations to campus stakeholders.; Review institutional operations, policy, and procedure for SA/PL compliance with state and federal law and recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.; Manage public and direct state authorization and professional licensure statements or disclosures.; Maintain current knowledge of SA/PL field through trainings, conferences, webinars, professional memberships, and the reading of industry literature.; Additional support to the Director of Accreditation and Compliance as assigned and appropriate.; Institutional Review Board (20%) Process and provide initial review of submissions to the IRB; communicate with stakeholders on behalf of the IRB.; Maintain IRB files, create reports, and update public facing IRB resources; additional support to IRB Chair and/or IRB Coordinator as assigned and appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree.; Experience in research, project management, and/or relationship building in a higher education setting .; Familiarity with higher education operations and governance at the institutional, state, and federal level.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include: Master's degree.; Experience working in an area of compliance in a higher education setting.; Experience in technical writing, grant writing, and/or legal writing.
Proposed Salary
The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $45,842 - $50,198 and includes full benefits.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: The ability to read, interpret and analyze state and federal regulations and licensure requirements, and use the resulting knowledge to determine compliance standing and obligations for CSU programs and activities.; Strong problem solving, detail-orientation, and analytical skills.; Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.; Ability to work successfully with diverse populations.;; Ability to develop strong working relationships with policymakers and practitioners in multiple states.; Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and to produce accurate work within established deadlines.; Ability to prepare comprehensive reports for diverse audiences.
