Job Summary

Transfer Coordinator/Academic Advisor to provide transfer advising services to Henderson Community College students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree at a 4-year university.

Job Duties:

  • Provide transfer advising services to Henderson Community College students interested in

pursuing a bachelor's degree.

  • Serve as an academic advisor to non-technical students.

  • Coordinate onsite visits for university recruiters.

  • Host transfer fair events.

  • Work with academic leadership and program coordinators to develop transfer pathways for

students.

  • Serve as Henderson Community College's representative on system-level transfer peer team

attending in-person and virtual meetings.

  • Supports recruitment, outreach, and retention efforts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Education with focus on Counseling or Student Affairs, or related field),

and two years related experience, or equivalent.

  • Experience working with students or adults from diverse backgrounds including

underprepared, low-income, and underrepresented populations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and customer service skills

  • Ability to plan, organize and implement events and day-to-day operations/duties.

  • Demonstrates and facilitates team spirit in department and community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (Counseling, or related field), and three years related experience, or equivalent.
