To assist in actualizing our mission, we are seeking candidates for the position of Academic Advisor II. This position will be responsible for advising students in the College of Social Work regarding all aspects of curriculum and progression toward degree through group advising, individual advising, and student onboarding activities. The advisor will provide proactive academic advising to support student retention and progression toward degree and to assist students in navigating academic policies and processes.
The Academic Advisor II will track student cohorts and pathways and assist with projecting enrollment for specific courses and programs. The advisor will play a key role in implementing strategic advising initiatives, utilizing data for targeted outreach, and contributing to student success initiatives within the university.
This multifaceted position requires a proactive approach, a proficiency in navigating technology platforms designed to enhance academic success, and the ability to provide targeted advising support to diverse student populations. Candidates should possess strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the capability to excel both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
