Job Description:

Prospective and new undergraduate students

• Meet with prospective students and their parents to explain the degree program and answer their questions. Respond to inquiries by email and telephone.

• Represent SNRE in onboarding events including PaCE previews, HS/AA previews, transfer previews.

• Participate in local recruitment events throughout the year including UF days, CALS recruitment events and SNRE activities.

• Participate in remote recruitment events at community colleges and high schools.

• Assist with orientation and registration questions and advise on selection of courses. Verify appropriateness of first semester registration.

• Review transfer of credit for all newly admitted students. Make sure all academic work from other institutions is received by the Admissions Office and posted on the UF transcript. Conduct initial academic audit.

• Advise each student for critical tracking courses needed and on timely scheduling to stay on track in the major.

• Add students' addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses to excel file and listserv for future correspondence.
