Job Description:
Advising
Provide academic and career advising to online students via Zoom, web, email, and telephone.
Assist students with identification of academic plans, long term goals, and career plans.
Utilize campus resources and assessments to provide career advising to online business students.
Advising
Monitor academic progress, including probation, honors, and progression through degree requirements.
Serve as liaison to other key students' services offices at UF (e.g., UF Online OneStop, Admissions, Registrar, Financial Services, Financial Aid, Disability Resources, Bookstore) for online business students
Work with UF's Online Business program databases and student records systems.
Orientation
Manage and facilitate (approximately seven) semesterly Heavener Online Welcome orientation sessions.
Plan, facilitate, and host semesterly Welcome Panel event for newly admitted students.
Organize and update orientation-related Canvas modules.
Create and oversee semesterly, new student admit database.
Programming
Develop and manage advising workshops for online student population
Coordinate and/or participate in program related events (e.g. Graduation)
Assist with development of and participate in online orientation for online students each semester
Manage the online programs database of probation students
Update and engage with student in the online student center and YellowDig community engagement platform in Canvas
Participate in semesterly and annually events (e.g. Welcome & Student Panel; Online Business Program Annual Meet-up)
Assist with data management of current students in the Online Business program.

Miscellaneous
Assist with overall mission of the Heavener School of Business (HSB), Experiential Learning Department (ExL), or Warrington College of Business. This may include:
Teach one or more Warrington Welcome (GEB2015) sections annually
Assist with Experiential Learning or Heavener School of Business programs (e.g. awards banquets, educational sessions, program facilitation, etc.)
Participate in and support various events for online and on-campus business students, including University commencement ceremonies.
Act as a faculty advisor to online business student organizations when possible
Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Heavener School of Business, Director of Online Programs, or direct supervisor.
