POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring proper food quality, food presentation, stocking, and cleaning of floor, walls and vessels for food in the entire AC Kitchen buffet area.
Set up all garnishes for dishes, set up trays and stock bread.
Polish steak knives and soup spoons.
Maintain stock of china, bowls and silver.
Responsible for setting up/breaking down buffet station at the beginning and end of shift.
Make sure that juice and milk dispensers are clean and chilled.
Make sure that all items have clean serving cutlery-control temperature of plate dispenser and hot display.
Tell the kitchen in a timely manner if something is running out (no less than 2/3 empty).
Assist with special guest requests to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Maintain communication between servers and kitchen associates. Interact with culinary department when necessary.
Food items must be kept at the correct temperature according to applicable food sanitation/safety/hygiene/health laws and regulations.
Change serving spoons and side plates if necessary.
Keep the buffet clean and organized.
Never top up empty dishes. Always bring a new full dish from the kitchen.
Assist with bussing duties if needed.
Maintain standard of buffet presentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be friendly, polite and a team player.
1.Knowledge of appropriate buffet settings and service ware
2 Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift.
3.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
4.Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guests requests.
5.Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices
6.Ability to grasp, lift, carry, and/or transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room
7.No prior experience required.
8.Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
