ABB is seeking an ABB Ability Collaborative Operations Program Manager for its Westerville, Ohio location. Responsibilities include managing implementation of ABB AbilityTM customer solutions, leading Collaborative Operations Center architecture development, supporting global development initiatives, supporting standardization of operational processes and assisting with the continued refinement of Collaborative Operations positioning.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Serve as project manager and consultant regarding solution architecture, implementation, analytics, delivery and financial impact for ABB customers.

  • Lead and/or support platform architecture development.

  • Support and/or manage development, iteration or productization of Collaborative operations solutions.

  • Support and/or manage development of data transfer, manipulation and storage methodologies and tools.

  • Perform, coordinate or support market analyses utilizing customer and industry data as well as participate in research and training programs to identify new and emerging technologies.

  • Define, coordinate and perform studies to incubate and iterate next generation solutions.

  • Establish business case and supporting material for development roadmap related to both back-end and customer solutions.

  • Coordinate development or identify partnerships to meet technology needs including development specifications and timelines.

  • Support and/or manage activities related to Collaborative Operations solutions at customer sites.

  • Support sales/ front end organization to identify, engage and address opportunities at customer sites for Collaborative Operations solutions.

  • Manage and/or support Collaborative Operations solution implementation at customer site: identification of data sources, technology requirements, solution customization, or on-site coordination.

  • Support coordination and standardization of solution implementation processes on both the customer and ABB sides.

  • Manage the creation of operational delivery processes associated with on-going solution deliverables.

  • Establish and foster feedback channels from front-end sales to backend development and vice-versa.

  • Actively engage in respective knowledge sharing communities including collaborative operations, Ability Architecture, etc.

  • Support advanced pre-sales customer studies to assess current operating state and potential economic, production, and quality improvements.


Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of technical experience.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in digital and data analytics solutions in the pulp & paper industry.

  • In-depth and broad knowledge of multiple engineering, computer science and analytics fields.

  • Requires expertise to perform market analyses, create business cases, perform financial return studies.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence decisions of senior Company managers and major customers.
