To teach social and adaptive skills to individuals diagnosed with Autism and other disorders using strategies deriving from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), primarily in a home or center setting. To implement behavior reduction techniques as outlined in client's individualized plan. Maintain positive family involvement in therapy sessions. Communicate effectively with supervisor to ensure treatment is up-to-date and tailored to clients' needs. Uphold a positive working relationship with other therapists, families, and general staff.
Conduct individual or group sessions with assigned clients at their home, the agency center, and/or community.
Follow treatment plan goals and adhere to teaching strategies as outlined by supervising BCBA
Accurately record client progress on skills and behaviors during each session, and submit electronically after each session with client
Model teaching strategies to client's family members as needed
Regularly communicate with clients' parent/caregiver on their child's progress
Adhere to established ABATEC policies and procedures, objectives, safety, ethical, and environmental standards.

This job might operate in an office/program center environment, at the clients' residences or in other designated recreational areas. The therapists are required to use mobile devices to transmit data captured during the therapies as required by ABA evidenced-based guidelines. The therapists are required to have access to reliable transportation during afternoon hours.
Duties may require standing and walking.
They may require some reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and sitting on floor.
During sessions, therapists may need to sit and lean forward for continuous periods of time.
Perform physical safety and physical management procedures, per requirements of Behavioral Safety Training.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed; however, the "core" work hours are between 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm on weekdays (required) and 11:00 am - 5:00 pm on Saturdays (optional).
Required Education and Experience
An Associate's Degree or equivalent is required for this position.
At least one year of experience working with children and/or teenagers in an educational or care capacity is required
