ACES Behavior Services Home Outreach Program is currently seeking motivated individuals for part-time ABA Instructor positions. The Home Outreach program provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the home, daycare and community settings. These services are based on ABA principles, and services are provided to clients with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and/or related developmental disorders aged 2-years to adult. ABA Instructors work closely with a BCBA level supervisor to increase the independence of the clients skill acquisitions programs and to support generalization across various setting and people. Comprehensive ongoing training is provided, including RBT credentialing.

Job Brief:

Data collection and Assessment

  • Records client data throughout the session

  • Reviews data regularly and notifies supervisor(s) of any relevant information

  • Regularly meets with BCBA to review progress

  • Records data in graphical format


  • Interacts in a positive and professional manner with clients and families

  • Maintains HIPAA compliance at all times

  • Maintains organization and detailed session notes

  • Performs all other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Completes all forms, reports, and paperwork in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner

  • Communicates relevant information to supervisors and team members

  • Participates in team meetings and ongoing trainings


  • Supports client learning and independence

  • Responsible for the direct implementation of individual ABA instructional programs

  • Implements behavior intervention plans to support the decrease of maladaptive and the increase replacement behaviors

  • Implements programs across various settings in order to generalize skills


  • Complies with and is fluent in, ACES policies and procedures

  • Complies with and is fluent in, Behavior Services policies and procedures

  • Complies with and is fluent in physical management training

  • Complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations

  • When relevant, complies with all regulations and guidelines of the BACB

Applicants will be required to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. If hired, ACES will support the candidate in this process. ACES offers supervision hours for staff working toward their BCBA certification.

The RN is responsible for admission of patients for home care services, development of the patient plan of care, coordination with patient's provider and other disciplines for the provision of services, and safe delivery of patient care. Collaborates with providers, other disciplines, and communicates all changes promptly. 3. Assesses payment sources and is responsible for ensuring ongoing authorizations as necessary. 4. Educates and instructs patients/caregivers in their ongoing medical maintenance. Begins discharge planning on admission. 5. Completes all documentation within 24 hours. Must include changes in condition, follow-up with provider or other disciplines with supporting documentation. 6. Evaluation pf patient progress and prompt action 7. Oversight of LPNs and Home Health Aides. 8. Participates in case management conferences and documents per guidelines. 9. Schedules patients independently according to the individual plan of care. 10. Attends all staff meetings, inservices, other required meetings. Compliance with all mandatory requirements. 11. Follows policies and procedures. 12. Thorough and accurate OASIS documentation. Qualifications EDUCATION Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing. Bachelors in Nursing preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum two years nursing experience in an acute care setting. Previous home care experience desirable, but not required. LICENSURE Registered Nurse with Valid (or eligible) Connecticut license. SPECIAL SKILLS Excellent clinical knowledge, verbal/written skills, and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently. Able to competently assess patients' needs and follow through accordingly. Strong ability to work with providers and members of the multidisciplinary team.
