Founded in 1994, A Safe Haven Foundation's (ASHF) mission is to help people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose. A Safe Haven provides the tools for each individual to overcome the root causes of homelessness through a holistic and scalable model.

A Safe Haven's visible social and economic impact unites families, stabilizes neighborhoods, and creates vibrant, viable communities.

To help ensure quality of care and program performance in order to better serve individuals with substance use disorders and those individuals experiencing homelessness in Chicago. The qualified candidate will support the improvement of data quality and governance by developing and piloting data analysis and visualization tools in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other software with which VISTAs may have special knowledge.

Data visualization tools be used to promote greater staff data literacy and improve program analysis for the purpose of improving program quality and efficiency. ASHF's mission is to transition homeless individuals from poverty to self-sufficiency. By creating the tools needed to improve program quality VISTAs will help to break the cycle of poverty.

Qualifications:Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, economics, or a related degree a plus. Current students are encouraged to apply.Experience with Data Governance principals

Strong research and technical writing skills

Personal and/or professional experience working with low-income persons

Highly developed organizational skills

Confidence in speaking to groups of professionals

Expertise with Microsoft Excel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Collect, analyze, and make recommendations using data from multiple sources that identify key measures of agency impact and performance. * Analyze and summarize qualitative and quantitative data for other departments and organizational leaders. * Conduct client file audits, generate reports and analyze results for internal stakeholders. * Conduct trainings for staff on implementing evaluation programs, using data to improve outcomes, and achieving compliance and quality standards. * Determine, recommend and seek research priorities based on agency interest; funding opportunity; and the availability of an appropriate research team. Qualifications * Masters degree from an accredited institution in criminology, psychology, public health, social work, sociology, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelors degree plus appropriate clinical and/or research experience may also be considered. * One to three years experience in clinical work and/or conducting and managing research and evaluation projects that incorporate qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies. Ability to synthesize complex information into user-friendly reports, and present information to diverse audiences including funders, policymakers, academics, management, and staff. * Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines and competing priorities in a multi-task environment. * Clinical knowledge of DSM-V and ASAM. * Knowledge and skills utilizing statistical software. Knowledge of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) preferred. * Proficient with the use of computer software for word processing, information searching and retrieval, data analysis (especially Microsoft Excel). * Proficient with the design, cleaning, manipulation, and interpretation of large databases. * Ability to collaborate with various departments to determine needs, scope, and priorities of current and future data management and research activities. * Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed (evening/weekend hours). * Ability to maintain continuous satisfactory relationships with executive staff, employees, clients and stakeholders. * Must be available to attend meetings and meet the needs of the department/agency throughout the city and wherever needed.
