As a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer, you will ensure that the Army National Guard keeps receiving the electricity it needs to continue serving the Nation. This will be accomplished by maintaining and repairing electricity-generating equipment in mobile and stationary power plants.

Through training and practice in this specialty, you will develop technical skills that are in demand by today's employers. These skills include: generator and power plant operations; electrical generation and distribution; diesel generator operation, disassembly, inspection, and maintenance; and principles of electrical and electronic circuitry. By joining the Army National Guard, you will be preparing yourself for a rewarding civilian career as a power plant electrician.

Job training for a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and approximately 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including practice in maintaining electrical power systems. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.

Requires military enlistment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications. Actual MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability. Benefits subject to change.

Currently we are accepting applications for maintenance technician positions: Swing Shift rotating 12 hour shifts (approximately 6:00pm – 6:00am) Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Harry's Fresh Foods Maintenance Technician role is responsible for ensuring that the food manufacturing facility is ready to operate. The Maintenance Technician conducts preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on productions equipment and facilities. * Performs emergency and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment * Competent with basic mechanic skills, for example: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs * May assist with fabricating spare parts * Compliance with all OSHA and GMP food safety rules Qualifications Successful candidates will have: * A minimum of 2 years of verifiable equipment and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or highly regulated industry preferred) * Any certifications of equivalent training is a plus * Experience with electrical and PLC based control systems (Allen Bradley) * TIG Welding a must * Limited Maintenance Electrician's (LME's) will be given preference Skills and Abilities * Strong ability to work independently under tight deadlines but can also work well within a team * Quick learner * Committed to continuous improvement * Strong interpersonal communication skills working with many operational departments internally as well as some external vendors or suppliers * Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills * Comfort with varied work schedules and timelines with priorities being assigned by the supervisor. * This is a physically demanding position requiring lifting of 50 lbs, ability to operate motorized equipment and some computer skills Compensation and Benefits Pay is commensurate with skills and experience and includes; 2 weeks PTO and 7 Paid holidays.
