The National Solutions Group at Leidos currently has an anticipated opening for a Mission Operations Lead to support a client's requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Northern Virginia area. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and is contingent upon program award.
The Mission Operations Lead will be the lead for a 24/7 operations team that leverages national systems in a dynamic and evolving operations environment. The Mission Operations Lead will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leads mission system operators who implement mission plans and schedules and execute optimized strategies to achieve mission objectives.\
Manages multiple missions and coordinates closely with mission partners to support complex, worldwide operations.
Develops solutions that are highly innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practices.
Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
Performs systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below
BS degree and 8 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
10 or more years of IASAE.
TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
Experience with collection management, mission management, and operational environments
Experience with working national systems and concepts
Knowledge of the processes and tools required to execute mission timelines
Ability to recognize problems or errors and react appropriately
Ability to work a rotating shift pattern covering a 24/7 mission
Team lead experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
