The National Solutions Group at Leidos currently has an anticipated opening for a Mission Operations Lead to support a client's requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Northern Virginia area. The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and is contingent upon program award.

The Mission Operations Lead will be the lead for a 24/7 operations team that leverages national systems in a dynamic and evolving operations environment. The Mission Operations Lead will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads mission system operators who implement mission plans and schedules and execute optimized strategies to achieve mission objectives.\

  • Manages multiple missions and coordinates closely with mission partners to support complex, worldwide operations.

  • Develops solutions that are highly innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practices.

  • Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

  • Performs systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.


Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below

  • BS degree and 8 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.

  • 10 or more years of IASAE.

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph is required

  • Experience with collection management, mission management, and operational environments

  • Experience with working national systems and concepts

  • Knowledge of the processes and tools required to execute mission timelines

  • Ability to recognize problems or errors and react appropriately

  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern covering a 24/7 mission

  • Team lead experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Roles and Responsibilities: * Conduct a complete review of defensive actions and coordinate mitigation with DoDIN OPS when approved. * Generate COAs for improvements that can help defend Army networks and systems. * Brief leadership on mitigation actions performed and COAs for further securing of Army networks and systems. * Coordinate Cyber Protection Brigade support when needed. * Perform assessments of systems and networks to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. * Perform passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.
