The Defense & Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Project Lead with a DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI collateral at the BAT-A Reach Back and Operations Center at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. This position will support the CECOM Software Engineering Center contract performing Post Production Software Sustainment for the Terrestrial Sensors Software Branch (TSSB).
This position will report to the Leidos KX06 Program Manager in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. A successful candidate will manage a small team consisting of experienced BAT-A software and system engineers professionals responsible for operating Biometrics Data Center, Help Desk, and Operational Software Environment associated with the Post Production Software Sustainment (PPSS) of the Biometrics Automated Toolset-Army (BAT-A). This position provides operations, maintenance, software services (debugging, software change request identification, and software fixes), and associated Tier II Help Desk support for fielded BAT-A systems.
Manage the activities of the BAT-A Reach Back and Operations Center to sustain, maintain, and troubleshoot BAT-A, SEEK, BAT Web, and BAT-A server software
Provide weekly and monthly reporting of BAT-A activities for Weekly Project Status Meetings, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly CDRL submissions
Coordinate activities among the Engineering and Field Support Teams
Perform all hiring and personnel management functions for the BAT-A Reach Back and Operations Center team of up to 12 personnel
Must possess a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI collateral
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline
A candidate should possess 5+ years of related experience with 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
Candidate must possess DoD 8570 at the IAT Level II Certification consisting of one of the following: GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security AND Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or another acceptable secondary CE.
Ability to write position descriptions, evaluate candidates, perform interviews, and provide primary input for hiring, firing, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports
Demonstrated ability to organize, communicate, and establish goals
Demonstrated ability to provide direction and communication via oral and written communications
Ability to work to work across a multi-location, multi-functional team
Understanding of US DoD Biometric Systems
