Job Description:

TCSC Technical Helpdesk Representative duties include problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and developing follow-up steps in support of IT systems that support vehicle programing.

The TCSC Technical Representative is able to resolve less complex problems immediately, while more complex problems are escalated for resolution.

The successful candidate will be able to work first and second shift as well as occasional Saturday hours.

TCSC personnel must possess the following essential skills:

  • Professional work history or training with a focus on IT or automotive systems

  • Customer contact experience

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Computer hardware and software experience

  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN IT infrastructure

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 The Automatic Speech Recognition Technical Fellow will research, develop, design, and specify embedded/connected automatic speech recognition to support in-vehicle personal assistant solutions for FCA. Responsible for research, architecture definition, development, execution and validation of automatic speech recognition and hands free audio processing solutions from key tier one embedded head unit and service provider suppliers. He/she will support production programs as well as advanced development initiatives to ensure FCA delivers best-in-class performance and feature content. Additional job responsibilities include but not limited to: * Support PDO and HMI departments to develop easy to understand multi-modal solutions * Lead development of automated and manual end-to-end validation strategies, test tools and equipment * Maintain industry expertise on leading best practices and solutions for embedded, brought in mobile device, cloud and hybrid automatic speech recognition systems * Represent FCA on committees and working groups focused on automatic speech recognition initiatives, including the advancement of recommended best practices within various standards organizations and trade groups. * Support global regions (EMEA, APAC and LATAM) to ensure regional requirements are covered, validation is completed and performance issues are resolved Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor and Master's degree in Engineering and Computer Science as accredited by ABET or ABET equivalent, is required * Six Sigma Green Belt certification based on speech technology project. * 12 years of total work experience, with a minimum 10 years applying automatic speech recognition * 10 years of direct experience with automotive speech recognition systems is required to provide overall technical vision for the research, development, design, implementation, and validation of speech recognition solutions * Must meet the base criteria for the Technical Fellow level in the Technical Career Path Program * Sustained level of achievement/performance (3 out of last 4 years with a satisfactory performance and leadership rating) * Track record of directing, leading, teaching, inspiring, and creating new knowledge * Highly effective at communicating complex technical issues -- both verbal and wrote * Demonstrated significant depth and breadth of knowledge in an area of expertise that can be applied directly to the company's needs, now and in the foreseeable future * Effective engineering/technical/scientific reasoning skills * Capability of developing and/or applying new analysis techniques * Decision level of influence is Director or higher * Achievement of a minimum 50 points on the Qualifications Scoring Table (Education + Incremental) * Demonstrated knowledge based on years of experience applying analytical skills in a given area * These capabilities include the application of one or more analytical skills; computational, experimental, signal processing, modeling, statistical, etc.; to solve problems, prevent problems, develop or influence design direction or create value for the corporation * Demonstrated ability to set technical direction for specific instances * Lead decoupled development or ability to advance the state of the art in the specific area of expertise. * Demonstrated ability to lead people and groups * Ability to coach and train Senior Technical Specialists * Must have presented technical papers in technical forums and conferences * Strong understanding of embedded, Brought in Mobile Device (BIMD), connected and hybrid automatic speech recognition architectures * Software development experience in speech technologies * Detailed knowledge of automatic speech recognition algorithms, TTS technology, voice biometrics, Wake up Word, Barge in, Natural Language Understanding and neural network speech recognition processing and Artificial Intelligence * Thorough background with industry recognized voice assistants used in automotive applications -Siri, Google Voice, Alexa and Google Assistant * Detailed knowledge of speech recognition technical concepts including APIs and industry best practices * Minimum 3 years of direct experience with the creation of software tools to improve speech application development and validation processes Preferred Qualifications: * Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Computer Science, as accredited by ABET or ABET equivalent * Design for Six Sigma Black Belt certification * Reactive Black Belt certification * Working knowledge of ECNR audio processing, Beam Forming, analog and digital MEMS microphone technology and hands free audio ITU certification testing * Recognized as an automotive speech expert amongst the suppliers and OEMs in automotive speech technology industry Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Auburn Hills MI
