About the Employer:

Work hard and have fun working with Juniper's legal department! If you are a law student with a desire to work with business and legal teams, this is the summer internship for you! We are looking for a bright, motivated, flexible, and engaged self-starter who exercises sound judgment, asks thoughtful questions, and creates solutions, while working independently or as part of a team.

About the Position:

During the summer, you will develop an understanding of the operation of an in-house legal organization. You will get a chance to work on diverse projects across multiple legal teams, including Commercial, Privacy, Employment, Intellectual Property, Corporate Governance, Litigation, and Compliance Legal teams.

Responsibilities:

Job assignments and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Contract review and summaries
• Contract playbook updates
• Assistance with contract negotiation and drafting agreements
• Assistance with organizing/storing patent acquisition materials, processing system audits
• Updating legal databases and intranet information
• Litigation support
• Legal research and memos, analyze business impact and legal risk
• Developing and tracking metrics
• Providing advice to client contacts on legal issues; working with Juniper business groups to understand and find efficient, practical solutions to their legal requirements.
• Updating agreement templates and identifying process improvements
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects by researching legal issues and regulatory developments and preparing summaries of research

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful completion of at least one year of law school at an ABA approved law school.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in learning how an in-house legal department operates
• High attention to detail
• Flexibility and the ability to multi-task.
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
• Grace under pressure and a sense of humor
• Corporate or law firm work experience and an active participant in school activities is a plus

Minimum Salary: $84,000.80

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $84,000.80 and $120,750.55/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
