Transfers materials within the facility using various material handling equipment and computer transactions.
Picks and puts away parts in warehouse and line locations for replenishment, STO's, UPS, and kanbans.
Confirms finished goods and delivers them to the dock.
Executes inventory transactions and physical inventory counts.
Reports and transfers manufacturing scrap using established processes.
Works toward improved inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
Responds to requests from manufacturing.
Assists receiving area as needed; loads and/or unloads trucks.
Maintains and improves housekeeping in warehouse and line storage areas.
Identifies problems and/or reasons for errors and recommends resolutions.
Performs more complex troubleshooting and focuses on continuous improvement of Material Handling processes.
Maintains equipment in good operating order, follows power industrial equipment guidelines and completed start-of-shift inspection checklist.
Proficient performance in at least three areas of the functional are.
Mentors and trains entry-level Material Handlers within their scope of responsibility.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Must be self-directed, able to work independently and in a group environment.
Ability to perform inventory transactions through use of a computer system.
Some knowledge of computer functions such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Experience using SAP preferred but not required.
REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must regularly lift and/or moved up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds
Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Regularly required to stand, use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
Frequently required to walk, talk and hear
The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a valid license to operate fork lifts of various types.
