Our Fairfax, VA branch is looking to add an Event & Retail Manager to its operations! At Renewal by Andersen, it's important for us to have a local market presence it's critical to the success of our retail business. The ability of this branch to integrate into its local community greatly impacts the awareness of Renewal by Andersen. This awareness is built in many ways including events such as home shows, showroom seminars, open houses, and other organized gatherings. This role will also integrate traditional media marketing. The purpose of this position is to cost effectively drive non-media lead generation and local awareness through the following marketing tactics: events/shows, showrooms, corporate partnerships, community groups and more.
Communicates with individuals and groups outside the organization, representing the local Renewal by Andersen branch to home show sponsors, the public and other external sources with the intent of finding the best venues where Renewal by Andersen can generate qualified leads.
Creates and plans local calendar of events where products and services can be showcased with the sole purpose of creating exposure and generating qualified leads.
Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone in written form, email or in-person at local venues and events where products and services are demonstrated.
Develops and executes annual events and a sponsorship marketing plan; recommends strategy and assists the local Branch General Manager and Retail Marketing Manager in setting objectives for each event.
Helps to staff events, including scheduling in-home appointments and conducting product demonstrations, as required.
Determines necessary staffing levels and schedules participation or representatives. Secures and manages additional staffing from appropriate temporary/part-time sources, as needed.
Evaluates participation in events and sponsorships based on established objectives of the branch.
Evaluates the success of current and past participation and recommends a course of action for future participation.
Develops seminar program and other special events to use the branch showroom space to the best advantage.
Negotiates with event sponsors and outside vendors to procure space and to obtain the best value of our investment.
Administers participation in events and sponsorships based on established objectives, including onsite administration, resource supervision, and other implementations details
Identifies appropriate displays and support materials for each event and works with the branch designated party who is responsible for delivery and set-up to ensure that installation of displays is performed on time, within budget, and meets all codes and safety requirements.
Assures that integration of events and sponsorships takes place with other departments and channel members, such as sales, installation, customer service personnel, and the corporate Renewal by Andersen marketing department.
Supports Branch General Manager, sales, and showroom staff to identify and maximize local marketing opportunities.
Collaborates with corporate marketing department to best leverage all events and sponsorships.
Develops relationships and implements corporate marketing programs with local corporations and community organizations.
Develops and implements local guerrilla marketing tactics.
Provides timely tracking and entering of marketing data into corporate database.
Captures and shares best practices from events/marketing activities with corporate marketing.
Coordinate with corporate marketing to assist with local implementations and tracking of other corporate marketing initiatives.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Training others to work and staff events.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or similar preferred; equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities accepted as supplement to no degree.
Requires 2 to 3 years of experience in planning events.
Ability to think strategically with strong project management skills, including attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to self-manage resources, such as time and budget, to achieve objectives.
Ability to analyze effectiveness of events, sponsorships, and local programs.
Ability to understand the role or marketing communications, sales promotion, and advertising.
