SUMMARY:

This individual is responsible for developing& conducting methods of Data Acquisition testing, including but not limitedto relative parts, systems, component testing, and full vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completion of assigned tasks to assistin the development and testing of various mechanical or electrical systems,such as: vehicle frame, steering, suspension, axles, drivelines, seating, rollcages, body panels, lighting, electrical harness and electrical system design,microprocessor programming etc.

  • Use data acquisition systems andprocessing software to generate technical reports.

  • Work within defined project timelinesto complete tasks according to project schedule.

  • Revise/review and create StandardOperating Procedures.

  • Creating test and analysis plans for productvalidation.

  • Resolve and document design issuesfound during testing.

  • Participate in cross functional designreviews and communicate testing results based in fact and theory.

  • Work with design and simulationengineers to facilitate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) correlation on Components& Assemblies for stress, thermal etc.

  • Follow TSV product development processand methods for tracking project status and open issues.

  • Frequent contact with other functionalareas within TSV and outside suppliers.

CAPABILITYREQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Therequirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/orability required.

  • Proficient in verbal and writtencommunications and capable of using PC based spreadsheet and word processingsystems and capabilities. Proficiencyusing Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Previous experience with use of datalogging equipment, software programming, utilizing strain gages, load cells,flowmeters, thermocouples, pressure sensors/gages etc. to record applicabledata is preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver's licenseto operate vehicles.

  • Must work in a team environment.

  • Must follow all safety rules.

  • CAD experience.

  • Visual Basic orother programming languages.

  • Engineeringanalysis software, such as nCode, Test Lab, LabVIEW.
