Job Summary:

Nu Skin is seeking Accounting and Information System Majors to be internal audit interns at our global headquarters in Provo, UT. This internship will run from September through December. We are hiring a part-time intern to work Mondays and Wednesdays. In this internship you will gain a real working experience with our global audit team in areas of SOX compliance, operational audits, walk-throughs and process evaluation, financial statement audits, value-add consultations, reporting and presenting to management, and building relationships across departments.

Activities will include:

  • Controls and substantive testing

  • Walkthroughs and process evaluation

  • Value-add and operational projects

  • Administrative understanding

  • Reporting and Presentation

  • Building relationships across departments

This position will support the department through testing controls, documenting processes, evaluating risk, assessing mitigating controls, building control awareness throughout the company, and supporting remediation and improvement efforts. This position is open to start now, working around school schedules. It will be included in the 2019 Summer League Internship Program. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work performed will primarily include testing the operational effectiveness of internal controls. It will also include documenting and updating key process documentation using MS Visio flowcharting software and provide general task and administrative support to the Internal Audit department. The Audit Accounting Intern will participate in the various financial and operational company audits and projects in accordance with the Company's annual audit plan. To accomplish these tasks, the intern will communicate and work with other members of the Company's Internal Audit department, as well as with individuals from various departments throughout the organization, communicating in person, by phone, and by email. REQUIRED SKILLS: * Understanding of internal control concepts * Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Strong organizational and project management skills * Ability to quickly build rapport and work with a variety of individuals from across the Company * Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel * Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Understanding of process flowcharts and flowcharting concepts * Ability to learn new concepts and processes quickly * Developed attitude of professional skepticism MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Completion of BYU's Accounting Junior Core * Minimum 3.7 GPA * Experience in an audit or accounting position preferable WORKING CONDITIONS: * This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
