Description: Position is responsible for ensuring equipment integrity and timely repair.
Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a continually improving minimum amount of unscheduled downtime. Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues). Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Keep good records of all work assignments and communicate across all groups/departments.
Able to identify required parts, current inventories, and to list parts required for reorder. Must abide by all company policies including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Personal Safety Standards and Food Safety Standards. Person will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on bakery production machinery.
Duties will also include maintenance of building and support equipment. Must be Team Oriented Person. Position Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience maintaining manufacturing systems and equipment in an automated plant. Food plant experience preferred. Must have strong mechanical background in a production setting troubleshooting and repairing gearboxes, conveyors, sprocket/chains, belts, clutches, and brakes.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v, 3 phase, read and interpret electrical drawings. Training and experience in use of Allen Bradley and Square D PLC's, VFD's, HMI, servos, etc. is a plus. Knowledgeable in use of all power tools, hand tools, welders, lathes, drill presses, etc.
Strong plus if trained and experienced in compressed air systems, Boilers and Hydraulics. Must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work in a Team environment with limited supervision. May be required to work off ladders or other similar devices in high places with proper safety equipment.Ability to learn and understand the principles of the BBU Manufacturing Transformation, including lean tools, process capability and operational discipline.Electrical knowledge is a must HS Diploma/GED required Ability to lift 50-80 lbs
