Job DescriptionAs a Cannon Crewmember in the Army National Guard, you join a team that ensures the U.S. maintains its battlefield superiority. You will have the opportunity to learn and use high-tech cannon artillery weapons systems and artillery tactics and strategy both of which translate into comparable civilian skills, such as familiarity with technology, strategic thinking, and decisiveness.

Other duties include:

  • Conducting wire and radio communications

  • Identifying target locations

  • Setting, loading, and firing artillery

  • Using computers to generate fire direction data

  • Operating heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles

  • Transporting and managing artillery ammunition

  • Maintaining operational readiness of vehicles and equipment

And as your skills increase, so will your responsibilities. Advanced Crewmembers supervise other crewmembers in the distribution of ammunition, as well as manage cannon operations, training, and maintenance.

Job training for a Cannon Crewmember requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you learn basic Soldiering skills. Then you will attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which consists of 14 weeks of additional training. Part of this time is spent in a classroom and part in the field under simulated combat conditions.

margin: 0;">Coordinate who will be on call after hours & on weekends</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Attend/Hold employee meetings.  Attend and participate in leadership meetings and training when needed and asked</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Review weekly highs & lows from all mechanic staff members as well as gross profit work sheet with management team. </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"> Coordinate with Service Manager to set performance goals for each technician and monitor/review progress.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Handle all customer complaints in compliance with corporate guidelines.  If an issue cannot be resolved it must be brought to Bill &/or Carrie immediately!</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Maintains and continues to improve company policies, procedures & standards</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Hold all employees accountable for their performance, efficiency, cleanliness and quality of work.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Coordinate with parts manager & service manager to maintain and control inventory of parts and supplies.</li> <li style="padding: 0;
