The position exists to allow Securaplane to create, update, maintain and publish a wide variety of technical documents (Qualification Test Plans and Procedures, Qualification Test Reports, Acceptance Test Procedures, System Requirements documents, Maintenance Manuals, etc.) in support of various products developed or in development by Securaplane Technologies Inc., a Meggitt Company.
Job Core Responsibilities
Prepare, update, maintain and publish a wide variety of technical documents
Compose and release engineering change orders in support of technical documentation
Maintain existing publications in accordance with approved engineering changes
Assist engineering with support on documentation tools (Word, Excel, DOORS, RTC)
Direct outside services supplier on the creation and maintenance of technical documents
Provide direction and technical support in developing technical documentation internally and by outside suppliers
Maintain program document trees
Other responsibilities as assigned
College degree or 5 years equivalent experience in a related field; previous Technical Documentation experience in aerospace industry desirable
5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
Desire to continuously increase personal capabilities and design skills
Experienced in providing special expertise in writing and developing complex technical documents
Mastery of desktop publishing applications and Securaplane documentation systems (Word, Excel..)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of and familiarization with Rational DOORS
Strong knowledge of technical processes
Ability to meet multiple, and sometimes conflicting deadlines, using available resources
