The Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) is the primary training venue within PACAFs Area of Responsibility and supports comprehensive training, exercise, and mission rehearsals for Service, Joint, and allied forces. Foremost, of these events, is Red Flag-Alaska, which occurs at a maximum, 6 times annually, 2 weeks and 4 days per exercise, and requires extensive system/mission preparation/planning (30 days pre-exercise and one week long planning conference) and post-mission analysis (21 days post-exercise) to successfully meet training objectives. Qualis Corporation is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to function as a member of the Information Security team to help plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures for the protection of the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) network at Eielson AFB, Alaska. Essential Functions * This role will support the Senior Information Assurance Engineer and Information System Security Manager to ensure issues affecting JPARCs overall security are addressed. * Responsibilities include working alongside application developers, system administrators, vendors, etc. to validate and remediate identified vulnerabilities. * Work with the senior IA engineer to complete the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for JPARC and other PACAF (Pacific Air Force) networks as required. Schedule, initiate, and troubleshoot Video Telephone Conferences (VTC). Maintain VTC suites and the equipment that resides in them. Principle Duties and Responsibilities 50% Setup, configure, integrate and maintain a mix of, computer servers, battle command C2 systems, and supporting information systems in accordance with user specified technical architectures, within reconfigurable battalion and brigade tactical operation center training environments, to support the conduct of digital battle command staff training and exercises. Consult with system integrators, system administrators, and computer specialists from other staff sections and organizations to design optimized system architectures in support of training. 5% Administer security procedures via deployment of Anti-Virus Software and Firewall technology to all training approved systems. Demonstrate awareness of procedures for handling US Army classified software data and systems during classified training events in a controlled setting. The System Administrator (SA is a person employed to maintain and operate a computer system and/or network. SA's are charged with installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Primary & Essential Accountabilities * Identify new business opportunities with targeted customers. * Introduce Leonardo DRS Business Development person(s) to leadership in targeted customers. * Assist in the creation and development of strategic account planning to include sales and revenue growth management plans. * Represent Leonardo DRS at conferences, investor offerings and symposiums resulting in improved relationships and positioning Leonardo DRS as a trusted leader in communications services. * Assist the leadership team at Leonardo DRS to enhance Leonardo DRS product portfolio and approach to marketing, business development and investor relations. * Leverage and augment state, federal, native corporation and business contacts to the advancement of Leonardo DRS's stated objectives. * Provide strategic and tactical direction to the business development function by evaluating new initiatives and business opportunities * Conduct and may oversee the market analysis and competitive activity * Identify and explore customer needs * Provide assistance in the planning, designing, and implementing of business plans * Assist with the follow through and deployment of the Company's vision, strategies, and tactics * Coordinate and facilitate activities and commitments with other departments and/or functions * Develop and track project schedules * Participate/coordinate in strategic alliances and other external business relationships * May manage Business Development staff * Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Secondary Accountabilities * Develop full understanding of Leonardo DRS's strategy and work with key executives to further develop and enhance the business development plan. * Focus on strategic relationships in oil and gas companies, mining, state, federal and native corporations and key customers identified as part of the market strategy. * Prepare and present capabilities presentations and attend any necessary meetings. * Develop materials and presentations for Alaska-centric business leaders and trade associations. Qualification Requirements * Ten years directly related experience * Bachelors degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience * Master's degree preferred * Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills * Planning and organization, project management, and time management skills * Ability to work on complex problems * Knowledge of Company products, markets and technology * Strong analytical and financial skills Leonardo DRS, Inc. These positions have been categorized as a Senior Firefighter (SFF), and require selectee to meet the minimum qualification standards for IFPM prior to being placed into the position. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The National Park Service (NPS) is looking for temporary employees to work on a variety of wildland firefighting crews. Work may include working as a crew member on any of the following types of crews: Hand; Helitack (helicopter); Engine; Prescribed. For more information on Crew Types, click here. A Wildland Firefighter (GS-06, Forestry Technician) serves as a Lead on an Engine, Hand, Helitack or Prescribed fire crew performing various duties. As a Lead on an Engine crew, drives and operates a wildland fire engine, positioning the engine for proper use and operation. Personally performs and directs others in starting pump engine, priming pump, adjusting engine speed and pump valves, laying hose, and using appropriate nozzles and nozzle adjustment in effective use of water and additives. As a Lead on a Hand crew, locates fire line, directs and participates in fire line construction, backfiring and burnout operations, tree falling and holding/patrol mop-up operations. As a Lead on a Prescribed crew, operations including preparation, ignition, monitoring, holding, and mop-up. Monitors fire behavior, fire effects, and fire weather on prescribed fires and wildland fire use. As a Lead on a Helitack crew, leads the fire suppression efforts of the helicopter module. Directs the loading of helicopter personnel and cargo; considers weight and balance, and securing the cargo. Completes manifests of personnel and equipment being transported to the fire or other work sites. Inventories and inspects helicopter accessories, fire tools, and equipment. Ensures that needed tools and equipment are available for firefighting tasks. * In addition to the base salary, you will receive a 5.30% cost of living allowance for Denali, AK or a 3.74% cost of living allowance for Fairbanks, AK. This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment and gradual decrease. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/TESTING: You must pass an initial pre-employment physical examination and must be able to pass the work capacity fitness test (must carry a 45 lb pack for 3 miles within 45 minutes). Failure to meet any of the required medical qualifications will disqualify you for employment. Any condition, which would cause you to be a hazard to yourself or to others, will disqualify you for employment. DRUG TESTING: Positions require a mandatory pre-employment drug test. Examples include on-the-line wildland fire experience in forest/range fire control, prevention or suppression work; operating and maintaining specialized wildland fire tools/equipment/vehicles and may include leading crewmembers. OR * 1 year of graduate level education directly related to the position. OR * a combination of education and experience that is directly related to the work of the position. Selective Factors for GS-06: In addition to the basic qualifications listed above, you must have possessed the following National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) incident management qualification and training requirement to be considered eligible. 1. Fire Fighter Type 1 (FFT1); And 2.
