The Alaska VA Healthcare System (AVAHS) is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 3 facility serving Veterans throughout Alaska. The parent facility is located in Anchorage, Alaska and is adjacent to the 673d Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson which is a VA/DoD Joint Venture Hospital. We manage four VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC), located in Fairbanks (358 miles north of Anchorage), Kenai (158 miles south of Anchorage), Wasilla (41 miles north of Anchorage) and Juneau (569 air miles from Anchorage). We manage a VA Outreach clinic located in Homer and served by staff from the Kenai VA CBOC We also manage a 50 bed Domiciliary for homeless veteran's located in downtown Anchorage.
