Purpose of the Technician III, Network Administrator Position: Provides expertise in local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), internet system, and storage area network (SAN) in support of complex client-server environments. Essential Duties of the Position: * Installs, configures, and supports the company's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems, or a segment of a network system. * Monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users, and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. * Responsible for direct customer communication and Tier I and Tier II escalation support. * May monitor and test site performance to ensure sites operate correctly and without interruption. * Supports in-network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. * Administer / perform network security measures. * Provides event tracking, notification, remediation, and escalation support to a higher level network administrator technician. * Notifies technical support groups, and assists with maintaining status of network systems. * Provide daily summary report of events and system documentation updates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Personally monitors either visually, electronically or audibly a variety of assigned areas, or grounds by working in a variety of assignments including but not limited to roving inside the facilities, roving in a vehicle, other locations deemed appropriate. * Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance. * Will verbally de-escalate situations to ensure the safety of fellow employees, customers and clients. * Will directly supervise, support and coordinate the activities and schedules of security officers. * Works with client and area organizations to ensure cooperation and coordination of activities. * Consistently manage assigned activities, internal communications/teamwork, making decisions and solving problems. * Ensures all activities and personnel comply with appropriate safety requirements and sound business practices. * Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property, including but not limited to fire safety, active shooter protocol. * Examines doors, windows, and other areas of the facilities to determine they are secure. * Reports and records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc.in accordance with company policies and procedures. * Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators. * Notifies on site individuals of visitors wishing to see them. * Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property, including but not limited to fire safety, active shooter protocol. * May perform routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs. * May issue and record ID badges. * May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational. * Notify supervisor if safetyand sanitation standards are not being met. * Otherduties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may beassigned. * Thisposition is responsible for the supervision of staff. Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or GED equivalent. * At least three (3) years full-time Professional Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience with one of those years being in a supervisory role. * A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy. * Must be able to obtain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge. * Must be able to obtain and pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97.00 prior to beginning work. * Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients. * Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision. * Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation. * Must be able to work a one (1) week on / one (1) week off rotational schedule. * Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English. * Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client. Each FA is supported by a Branch Office Administrator who * Partners with the FA to build deep, trusted client relationships * Enables the FA to focus on providing tailored, solutions-based advice, and * Delivers exceptional client service. Client service Edward Jones FAs are known for building quality, one-to-one relationships with their clients - and they're able to maintain those relationships with the help of the BOA. When clients have questions, the FA will often depend on the BOA to provide a timely response. Client development An effective marketing communications program is only as strong as the person who implements it on a daily basis. At the FA's direction, the BOA updates prospect and client data records, executes direct mail programs, assists with planning seminars, and makes follow-up phone calls to set or confirm appointments. The BOA also helps the FA deepen existing client relationships by recognizing opportunities during day-to-day client interactions, proactively preparing a variety of reports for scheduled appointments, and scheduling systematic contact activities. In this case, the BOA can be called upon to help the new FAs become familiar with processing systems and office record keeping. Office administration This position is ideal for a well-organized person who enjoys multi-tasking and working with both technology and people. Daily office administration duties include assisting the FA in creating and meeting business plans, overseeing appointment setting and schedules, and processing deposits and transactions.
