This is a Slope based position that will rotate on a 2/2 or 3/3 basis. Supervisory Activities Anticipates construction, inspection and surveying resource requirements and meets time constraints of construction season and system operation. Provides for training and inspector certification for regular and temporary personnel. Establishes goals and objectives for subordinate staff. Schedules work to insure Association, Engineering and departmental goals and objectives are met in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner. Education Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline, engineering management, business administration or related field required. Registered professional engineer in the State of Alaska, or ability to attain registration, desired. Experience Ten years of progressively responsible electrical design/construction experience is required, including two years of applicable supervisory responsibility. This requirement can be reduced to eight years of experience including two with supervision if six years experiences including one-year applicable supervision are obtained as a Chugach employee. This experience must include a combination of design and construction of distribution/transmission substations, high voltage power transmission lines, distribution lines and facilities, underground electrical systems, transformer banks, capacitor installations, and other similar facilities. Experience in an electric utility preferred. Full charge field construction inspection experience is required. Must have experience in organizing and supervising work groups and utilizing human resources as well as coordinating construction programs with other internal departments, divisions and external agencies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Must have a thorough knowledge of electric utility systems, operations and construction. * Must have a working knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts, RUS (previously REA) design and construction requirements, RUS Approved List of Materials, National Electrical Safety Code, OSHA rules and regulations, construction contracts, materials and practices; as well as construction and material specifications. * Knowledge of common construction practices utilized in Alaska is preferred. A basic knowledge of environmental protection regulations pertaining to construction activities is required * Must be able to supervise and direct departmental and contract staff in inspecting all outside plant facilities required for the efficient operation of the electrical transmission and distribution system. * Must be proficient in use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and project management software and have working knowledge of CAD/GIS systems. * Must have effective project management skills as they relate to construction. * Must be able to make on-the-spot decisions with minimum supervision or guidance. * Must be able to balance multiple priorities and to expedite work, while maintaining required standards. * Must have the skills to recognize the ongoing system operating needs during construction and to prepare construction packages that can meet these constraints. * Should have skills in use of soil tests and analysis. * Ability to work with other department and company personnel and supervisors in carrying out plans, construction, contracts, etc., is necessary. Working Conditions Work schedule will be split between the field and a standard office environment, with heavy field emphasis during the construction season. Summary This Food Service Worker position performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assists customers as requested with general information, inquires, etc. * Obtains products requested by customers. * Operates Point of Sale to record price, compile printed list, and display costs. * Properly, safely, and efficiently prepares various food products following and observing standard food handling procedures. * Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment. * Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner. * Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines. * Cleans, sweeps, wipes down, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases), storage rooms, and equipment as well as all floors. * Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines, etc. * Assists with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects. * Participates in quality and performance improvement activities of food being served. * Neat and clean personal appearance. * Follows dress code according to department policies. * Assists cooks and others as needed and coordinates one's own activities with other's. * Supports and effective Safety Program. * May prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. Minimum Requirements * Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent. * Must have Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler's Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire. * Knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment. * Some combination of formal documented training, education or experience which demonstrates an interest in or a suitability for this type of work. * Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act. * Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English. * Proof of immunization for measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox), TB, and any other immunizations and screenings designated in the current ANTHC Employee Health Program for Infection Control in Hospital Personnel. * Annual flu vaccination documentation to Contractor. * Contractor may be required to maintain all employee health records on site.
